Heatwave will bring triple-digit temperatures to the South
A heat wave pushing to the South will send the mercury climbing, bringing feel-like temperatures to triple-digit levels beginning on Wednesday and for the rest of the week. Daytime highs will run 10-15 degrees above normal, the Weather Channel reports. Many parts of the South and Southeast will soar into the 90s by the afternoon.
Some projected highs are: Memphis 98, Atlanta 95, Dallas 93, Houston 94, Jackson 92, and Raleigh 92.
However, due to rising humidity, the feel-like temperatures will be over 100 degrees in many spots. Atlanta and Nashville will have 100-degree feel-like temps on Wednesday and Thursday. Dallas, San Antonio, and Houston will all feel like triple-digit heat Wednesday through Saturday. St. Louis will have a feel-like 102 on Saturday.
