An event of biblical proportions occurred near the last day of 2021, and it would be hard to believe if it weren’t true, but in Texarkana, on the Texas-Arkansas border, more than rain fell from the sky – it rained fish.

The story in the Bible’s book of Exodus about raining frogs on the Egyptians won’t sound so far-fetched after you read this. Because this sounds even crazier! But let’s put it like this…on December 29, 2021 in Texarkana, you didn’t need a fishing pole to catch white bass.
On the border between Texas and Arkansas, rain poured down from the sky. But there was another slick substance coming down, and it wasn’t hail or sleet. This was alive.
All over the city, fish were dropping from the sky. According to witnesses, a good number of the fish appeared to be young white bass, measuring roughly 4 to 5 inches in length, Oddee reported.
City officials confirm it really rained fish
Naturally, when such hard to believe stories start circulating around social media people are more than skeptical and write it off as a hoax.
However, city officials took to Texarkana’s Facebook page to confirm the event was not a tall tale and they posted a photo to prove.
“Animal rain” a real phenomenon scientists say
A number of scientific sources verify that “animal rain” is the real weather phenomena. Animal rain occurs when small, flightless animals get swept up in waterspouts or updrafts, and then fall to earth, the National Geographic Society reports.

Scientists say that when an updraft pulls living things into the sky, they will stay aloft until it runs out of steam and dissipates. Once the winds die down, gravity takes over and the animals start falling to the ground. Some winds can transport animals miles away from their home.
